CDP4i

to access Full IBM iData Availability
whether your partition is already replicated or not

Whether you have already implemented a Replication or Mirroring solution or not, CDP4i improves protection and availability of your IBM i critical data, in the event of Physical or Logical Loss (such as human error, data erasure or data corruption).

With CDP4i, your IBM i data is continuously secured on third-party servers and remains available regardless of the cause of the incident: hardware or human error.

CDP4i improves replication availability to achieve IBM i critical data Real Availability. CDP4i is compatible with main replication solutions on the market*.

The significant availability improvement provided by CDP4i strengthens your business activity, improves your ROI and protects your IBM i investments.

CDP4i daily use

Normal operation:

The modification history of database objects, DTAARAs, DTAQs, IFSs and SPOOLS is continuously backed up, at 2-minute frequency, on local and remote third-party storage servers:
• No lock of these objects.
• Configurable retention time.

Security data, configuration objects and other non-journaling objects are backed up once a day.

All types of networks are supported thanks to a high compression rate, the asynchronous process used and the automatic restart of Continuous Data Protection process in the event of a network incident.

If Physical Unavailability (breakdown or disaster):

Entire partition rebuild with the latest IBM i backups after the Power IBM i reactivation.

All modified data up to the incident (maximum delta: 2 minutes) automaticaly reimplemented by CDP4i.

If Logical Data Loss (human error, bug, …) :

3 tools integrated in CDP4i to help restore previous versions of files, libraries or partition.

2 possible restoration procedures:
• File restoration from a backup and automatic re-application of modified data by CDP4i.
• Automated rollback by reapplying backed up data to the desired recovery point.
